Award-winning broadcaster to launch new show on the聽station聽as she joins Greatest Hits Radio alongside Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo

Greatest Hits Radio聽today announces that broadcaster聽Zoe Ball聽will join the聽station聽to launch a brand-new show, bringing聽another聽of the UK鈥檚 most聽loved聽radio voices to its legendary daytime line-up.

The move marks Zoe鈥檚 first聽daily radio show聽since the Radio 2 Breakfast Show聽and will see her host afternoons, following Ken Bruce鈥檚 mid-morning show and ahead of Simon Mayo at Drivetime.

Today鈥檚 news was also accompanied by a video reveal showing the moment when the dream team of Zoe, Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo first came together available on the Greatest Hits Radio social channels.

Zoe said:聽“There鈥檚 something truly special about radio – the relationship you build with listeners, the energy, the music and the moments of joy and laughter you share together.聽I’ve聽missed it and this felt like the right time to begin a new chapter with Greatest Hits Radio. I鈥檓 excited to be joining the team and getting started.”

Zoe Ball in the聽Afternoon聽will air weekdays 1pm-4pm,聽starting from聽Monday September 7th聽and聽will feature big guests,聽listener chats, plus聽special features聽including Something for the Weekend every Friday.聽Alongside her new weekday show, Zoe will continue to co-host the chart-topping Dig It podcast with Jo Whiley.

It was also announced today that, from September,聽Kate Thornton, is set to launch a new聽prime-time聽weekend show on Saturday, alongside her hugely successful UK Pop 40 show every Sunday. Plus, special projects and聽further聽news聽to聽be announced later in the year. And the good times聽don鈥檛聽stop there as, also from September,聽Claire Sturgess聽will take over the weekend Breakfast show on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 6 鈥� 9am.
