Marvin Humes joins Hits Radio

Hits Radio have announced today that broadcaster Marvin Humes will be joining the station, bringing his energy, passion for music and connection with audiences to the Hits Radio network.

Marvin’s first show will be on Bank Holiday Monday, April 6th, from 4pm, where he’ll be revealing the Number One on Hits Radio’s Top 300 Countdown – From the 00s to Now.

Then from Monday April  13th, he’ll be on air every afternoon from 1-4pm and his first show will see him joined by the BRITs and MOBO award winning Olivia Dean for an exclusive chat that will also be available in the Rayo app.

Marvin Humes said: “I cannot wait to get started on Hits Radio! I’ve always loved their great music mix of the biggest hits and the biggest throwbacks, and I already feel such a part of the Hits family. Shout out Sam Thompson! We’ve got some big plans for the show and I’m excited for everyone to hear it.

And I’m so lucky that I get to still hang out with the KISSTORY crowd as well with a brand-new show on Sundays from 4 – 7pm.”

Hits Radio’s current afternoon host, Hattie Pearson, is heading to KISSTORY mornings with three hours between 10 and 1 pm of all the biggest Old Skool and Anthems. She’ll be broadcasting live from Bauer Audio’s Manchester studios, flying the flag for music and content in the North.

Paul Gerrard, Content Director KISS & Hits Radio, said:
“Marvin is a fantastic talent with genuine star quality and a real passion for radio. He’s a perfect fit for Hits Radio and what the station is all about – the biggest hits, the biggest throwbacks and a strong connection with our audience. We’re thrilled to welcome him to the line-up and can’t wait for listeners to hear him on air.

I’m also delighted that Hattie will be staying as part of the team with a brilliant new show on KISSTORY. She’s done an incredible job on Hits Radio and listeners will still be able to tune in to her Sunday show but I know she’ll be unbelievable as one of the KISS squad.”

And there will be further schedule changes at KISS with the news, also announced today, that broadcaster Harriet Rose is to leave the station. She has been part of the family for six years and has decided that the time is right to move on. During her time with KISS and KISSTORY, Harriet Rose has interviewed stars including Paul Rudd, Lizzo, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Jamie Foxx and Charli XCX. You can catch her final show on Sunday 5th April.

Paul Gerrard said: “We’re sorry to be saying goodbye to Harriet Rose who has been such an incredible part of the KISS story, but wish her well with all the exciting plans she has coming up.”

Marvin’s first show on Hits Radio will be on Monday April 6th available across the UK on DAB digital radio, on the Rayo app, smart speakers and online at hitsradio.co.uk.

Catch Hattie Pearson on KISSTORY from 10am on Monday April 13th
